It's important as an advocate to attend events. I recently attended the YAI Central Park Challenge and helped raise over $500 for YAI
In 2019 I had the privilege to go to Albany to address our representatives and discussed how budget cuts to services would hurt people with disabilities.
I'm invited to attend the Diversity Parade in October 2022
The more you can go to events and express the need for special programs for people with disabilities the better.
Be the voice. Share what you know. Be seen. Make friends and contacts.
Vote for people who believe in funding for people with disabilities.
